Steve Maios Roots

Here is one look at part of his roots. Did you know that Chris Callanan, the former Chairman of the School Committee, has a sister who is married to Mr. Maio, making them brother in laws, and is a teacher in the sch

ool system? Did you know that Chris Callanan has a brother in the school system that is also Mr. Maios brother in law?

I know, you’ll have to read it a couple of times because it kind of sounds like the old who’s on first routine.

These are the relationships that give him a better handle on the town than an “outsider”? How is he going to be involved in contract negotiations? What he would negotiate on the “town” side would certainly impact agreements on the school side. He certainly won’t be able to work with his brother in law to negotiate agreements for his wife and his brother in laws sister or his brother in law who is Callanan’s brother. Who will do the negotiating?

These kinds of roots are not something I see as positive, but rather negatives.

Sure would have been nice to have a fresh set of eyes in the town.
